Necron links BREEAM certification to a continuously updated ESG database
The logistics building developed by Necron Group at Heliotroopring in Dordrecht has achieved the BREEAM In-Use 6.1.1 certificate with an Excellent score. This makes the property one of the first buildings in the Netherlands to receive this newest version of BREEAM.
With this, Necron Group is committing to the highest standard in logistics real estate. As the first investor in the Netherlands, Necron links BREEAM certification to an ESG database that is continuously updated. With the certificate, Necron shows that certification is only the starting point: data and continuous improvement form the basis for sustainable real estate development, whereby all ESG data is recorded directly in the company’s own ESG database, making performance measurable, comparable, and continually improvable.
Asset and property manager MYSS plays a key role in this. “We translate ambitions into concrete results,” says Frank van Lookeren Campagne, partner at MYSS. “In this way, ESG is not a cost item but delivers tangible benefits from day one. By focusing on themes such as energy, water, and waste, you generate savings that also strengthen the dialogue with tenants.”
The ESG database is powered by the ESG accounting software from Blue Module and forms the basis for continuous improvement. Not a one-off assessment, but a structural process that consistently elevates performance.
With this integral approach — certification, data-driven ESG, and collaboration with strategic partners — Necron strengthens its position as a forward-looking investor in sustainable real estate.
