Blue Module renews interface and integrates circular performance indicators
Blue Module's ESG software has received a major update. The redesigned interface is not only more user-friendly and visually appealing, but also enhanced with new features that provide better insight into circularity and environmental impact.
The interface has been redesigned to be more user-friendly, with a less technical look and intuitive navigation. This makes reporting according to the Sustainability Section more accessible than ever.
New dashboard block: actual emissions per building
The updated version calculates and clearly visualizes the actual greenhouse gas emissions per building in a separate dashboard block. This provides appraisers with immediate insight into the actual emission performance of real estate, a key tool for risk assessment and valuation.
Integration with BCI: circularity measurable and comparable
Blue Module also introduces the BCI (Building Circularity Index) integration. With BCI Gebouw, the platform features an extensive library of building archetypes—both traditional variants (such as concrete, steel, and aluminum) and circular versions featuring biobased materials, reuse, and a high degree of detachability. These archetypes are calculated for environmental, CO₂, and circularity performance, thus providing a solid foundation for ESG decision-making.
The partnership with BCI enables real estate professionals to integrate circularity into their ESG strategies in a measurable, comparable, and practically applicable way. Blue Module now includes four standard circular performance indicators that provide insight into the environmental performance and materialization of buildings. This directly encourages users to consider circularity in their valuation, risk assessment, and investment decisions.
Anticipating the Sustainability Paragraph (DuPa)
With these innovations, Blue Module anticipates standards like the Sustainability Paragraph (DuPa), which until now has primarily focused on the use phase, climate risks, and sustainability costs. By now also integrating actual emissions and circularity, Blue Module offers a broader and more future-proof framework for appraisers and financiers.
The update is available immediately for all Blue Module users. The new interface and features not only make ESG reporting more comprehensive but also significantly easier to use.
